We are dedicated to providing a healthy environment and a pleasant stay to each one of you. Our policies are necessary for the best personal experience for everyone. Please review these policies and make sure you can respect them so that we may provide the best service possible.

Smoke-free Environment: Luana Inn is happy to provide fresh and pure air for all. All spaces including guest rooms, outside private or common lanais or walking paths, and all grounds are smoke-free. Prohibited smoking substances include tobacco, marijuana, and e-cigarettes. Violation of this policy will result in a $200 fine for outdoor smoking and $400 for indoor smoking. If you are a compulsive smoker and like to quit, we can help you with a 10-day stay.  Please call our sister company at 808-933-4400.

Filtered water: all sinks, showers, and toilets are equipped with filtered water. We advise you to bring a water bottle and use our filtered water from the tab for your personal use outside of our grounds.

Swimming pool / hot tub / gazebo / swimming pool lanai: Our spa area is the heart of Luana Inn. It is conceived for relaxation and quiet enjoyment of the sweeping views of the ocean and the magnificent sunsets. You may savor your dinner or a drink at one of our tables or simply relax on one of our lounge chairs, sit under the gazebo, or soak in the hot tub. We will serve you breakfast by the pool in the morning upon request and we also have a cheese and cracker wine option for an appetizer. Please reserve in advance for a massage or more. Please do not wear oils or body creams in the hot tub and replace the cover when you are done.

Non-chlorinated pool: Our pool is safe to swim in. It is sanitized by a system generating hydrogen peroxide. As such, it is sensitive to pollutants and harder to maintain. Please do not wear oils, sunscreens, or any unnatural products into the pool. Please remove all these prior to entering the pool by taking a hot/cold shower on the pool deck.  

Parking: We offer free parking close to your suite. Special directions to your designated parking area will be sent to you when you make your reservation. It is important that you park at your allocated spot for the duration of your stay.

Check-in is between 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Please notify us in advance of your late arrival and we will provide information for self-check.

Check-out: By 11:00 AM.

Minimum stay: A two-night minimum stay is required. Discounted rates are available for 5 nights or more. 

Children: Our inn is suitable for children aged 14 and older. Please give us advance notification if you intend to bring younger children. For younger children, the use of the pool may be restricted to certain hours, and required surveillance by an adult will be arranged.

Visitors: Visitors from the community are allowed in limited numbers. Please let us know if you intend to bring someone from outside to a common area.

COVID 19: We follow the CDC rules and the government of Hawaii currently requires a negative COVID test less than 72 hours prior to departure or proof of vaccination. Please abide by these rules for a comfortable and pleasant stay. 

Deposits: Full payment is required at the time of your reservation.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Reservations canceled up to 46 days prior to arrival will be fully refunded minus a $65 cancellation fee.
  • Reservations canceled 45 days or less from arrival will be charged the full amount for their stay.
