The Luana Inn is located 12 miles south of Kailua-Kona nested in the foothills of Mauna Loa facing tranquil Kealakekua Bay. Perched above Kealakekua Bay the estate offers easy access to secluded beaches, swimming, excellent snorkeling, kayaking and archeological and historical sites.

The inn sits on a large 1.4 acre hilltop lot that offers stunning, panoramic ocean and coastline views. The inn consists of two homes; a spacious mid-century modern designed home and a separate Hawaiian Ohana cottage. The 4,400 sq. ft. main residence houses three guest accommodation rooms: The Moana, Mahina and Makani. The 1000 sq. ft. Ohana cottage located in the garden behind the main house contains two more guest accommodation options: The Ula’Ala & Lani Suites. All five guest rooms include modern amenities and comforts including: private bathrooms, luxurious memory foam mattresses, kitchenettes, air conditioners, flat screen TV’s with BlueRay players, and Wi-Fi.

The style of the house is simple, clean, and reminiscent of romantic old Hawai’iana.

Perhaps the most exciting feature of this inn is its beautiful, round, toxin-free swimming pool facing the ocean with views of the entire Kealakekua, Ke’ei, Napo’opo’o area. Lounge poolside in comfortable deck chairs or find a shady area under the covered lanai to read a book. A hot tub is situated right next to the pool to relax you even further. The sunsets and moon sets are incredible to view from the pool, hot tub and pool side patio.

Your raw food detox meals and juices will come with more breathtaking views as the kitchen, dining, and outdoor balcony dining area also faces the ocean. A large, bright and airy yoga and meditation room is on the second floor of the main residence. A common sitting area with a library of books and dvds is located in the foyer of the main house.

The poolside lanai has outdoor dining tables, outdoor lounge chairs and a covered lanai area – everything you need to find a place to relax and be comfortable during your 10-day detox.

Other amenities include: laundry, infrared sauna, massage/treatment room, gazebo, hammock, and koi pond.

The Moana

The Moana Room is located in the main house of the estate. It is a very large bedroom with king size bed, ensuite 3/4 bathroom, built-in closet, and kitchenette. The room is fully air conditioned and also has large windows and a glass sliding door that opens up unto a natural stone patio  for taking advantage of ocean breezes. This room is a bright, airy space with a vaulted ceiling and a dramatic view of the sweeping front yard, tiger palms, ocean, and sky. It has a breakfast table on the patio to take in the expansive views, moon sets and sunsets.

MAHINA ROOM

The Mahina

The Mahina room is located in the main house. It has a private entrance off the ocean-facing pool lanai and a fabulous ocean-sky view. Mahina has a queen bed, a private ensuite 3/4 bathroom, a kitchenette and is fully air conditioned. Easy access to the outdoor dining tables on the poolside lanai to relax and watch the sunset.

The Makani room is located in the main house and has a queen bed, a private 3/4 bathroom, kitchenette and is fully air conditioned. The Makani has a private entrance off the ocean-facing pool lanai and a fabulous ocean-sky view.

The Ala’Ula

The Ala’ula suite occupies the south half of the Ohana Cottage on the Luana Inn estate. The room has a private 3/4 bathroom, kitchenette, private covered lanai and is fully air conditioned. The room has a king bed plus a full size futon and can essentially sleep three people. It is a large, airy space with vaulted ceilings and soft light. Guests love the amazing bed in this room and the private porch. The porch faces a manicured yard lined with tiger palms. Its view sweeps down the yard to the pool, sky, and ocean.

The Alihi Lani

The Alihi Lani Suite is located in the north half of the separate Ohana Cottage. It is a one bedroom apartment with living room, kitchen with breakfast bar, 3/4 bathroom, bedroom, front lanai and back lanai. Essentially it can sleep four. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there are two full size futons in the living room which can be used to sleep a third and/or fourth person. The fully air conditioned suite has tile and hardwood floors, gets cool mountain breezes and has views of yard and garden and peek-a-boo ocean view.
